A Life, Legacy, and Mission to Provide
One provider can have a lasting impact- you're next!
My father passed away from a heart attack on March 20, 2017.
I ended up quitting my job and going on a sabbatical to reflect on the age old question, “what do I want to do with my life?”
One beautiful outcome of my father’s death was being inspired to provide for others as he did. So my family and I launched a small non-profit in his honor called The CL Thomas Fellowship shortly thereafter.
It started with hosting a men’s small group in my living room around the theme of becoming a provider based on the Bible and the life and example of Jesus and his disciples.
I’m not sure where this non-profit will go. Over the years we added a podcast called “Provide Like Jesus” and scholarships to support other in need ranging from medical needs, mortgage payments, groceries, and more. However this is not a full-time endeavor (at least at the moment) rather a labor of love….and provision.
So feel free to follow and subscribe if you would like to receive encouragement and scripture (which is better than anything we can say) on how to provide like Jesus and experience the joy that comes with being a provider.
We like to say, Provider = Bless + Protect.
So just think how can I bless someone today?
How can I protect someone today?
That usually leads to good things happening in your life and in the lives of others.
